Natural wood tones and a palette drawn from the landscape create a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior, while the progression from room to room feels natural and uncontrived.

Granite countertops, exposed beams, and rich wood staining anchor the space with depth and strength, while the fluid curves of the dining chairs, vases, and floral artwork soften the composition with graceful lines. Pennsylvania Bluestone covers the floor and creates dynamic tension against the organic stone walls, while creamy textiles provide buoyancy from the deeply stained cabinetry. Achieving the delicate balance among all the materials is the defining application that distinguishes this exceptional design.

5. The Art of Outdoor Living

While dramatic reveals capture attention, it is the thoughtful process behind the scenes that truly defines our work. This Traditional Mountain Roost exemplifies our layered approach through the deeply personal design decisions that envelope and embrace as you engage with your surroundings. 

In the primary bedroom, the tall iron canopy bed, paired with substantial, ebony-stained bedside chests, anchors the room and conveys the more masculine side of the design. For counter elements, we brought in feminine touches via hand-embroidered draperies, lace-edged panels, a softly gathered bed skirt, and Queen Anne bench. Marrying soft and hard, structured and fluid, dark and light, we create an effortless balance for both husband and wife to enjoy.

4. Private Retreat

In the main gathering space, ivory plaster walls provide a luminous backdrop for a majestic stone mantel and richly-colored millwork. This sophisticated marriage of rustic authenticity and refined detail creates the depth and drama essential to compelling interiors. The architecture has its moments in the spotlight, while gracefully receding to allow the layers and textures of the furnishings to echo back to the lake and lightly animate the space.
